Come visit the beautiful rolling terrain of The Camargo Hunt
Owen County fixtures, located just over an hour south of
PACE EVENTS: $25 per rider for 1st class, $15 for the
same rider for each additional class
Class 1: Qualified Foxhunter Pace Class 2: Qualified Hilltopper Pace*
Class 3: Open Hunter Pace Class 4: Open Hilltopper Pace*
Requirements: *Note: there will be 2 separate Hilltopper
courses.
- All riders must wear a helmet. Certified Course B will be slightly shorter and easier- great
helmets are required for all juniors and for a warmup for other Pace events
strongly encouraged
for all riders.
- A current (within the last 12 months) negative Coggins is required for all horses.
- “Open” events require only a helmet. Any riding attire is appropriate. Western riders welcome!
- Participation in the Open Hunter Pace requires a rider to have competed at the Beginner Novice level or have permission from their trainer or Pony Club DC.
- Qualified classes require formal hunting attire. At least one horse in the pair must be ridden by a member of a recognized hunt, and the horse must considered “qualified” by a recognized hunt.

Directions to the
Pace Event:
From
I-75, take the Corinth Exit #144. Turn right. Go West on Highway 330 for 1.7
miles.
Turn
left on Highway 607. Travel for 3.9 miles. Just over a concrete bridge, turn
right on Highway 2018.
In
approximately 1.5 miles, 1883 joins from the left. Proceed to event and trailer
parking as noted below.
From
I-71, take the Sparta/Owenton Exit #57.
Go
South on Highway 35 for 4 miles. Hwy 35 becomes Hwy 127 going into Owenton.
Take
Hwy 22 East out of Owenton approximately 2 miles to Hwy 227. Go right (South)
on Hwy 227 approximately
2
miles to Hwy 330. Turn left on Hwy 330 and travel approximately 1 mile to Hwy
1883.
Turn
right on Hwy 1883, crossing Hwy 845, but staying on 1883. Continue to stop
sign, turning left to stay on 1883.
Continue
on 1883 which joins with 2018. Proceed to event and trailer parking as noted below.
Pace Event:
The
start of the Pace will be from below the “little white house” located next to
the Old Poindexter main barn on
Hwy
1883 on the right in approximately 2/10ths of a mile after the split of 2018
and 1883.

for large trailers will be at the

Cars:
Parking
for small trailers and cars will be at Phantom Ridge Farm. This is located on
Highway 2018. Phantom Ridge Farm will be located on the left side if coming
from I-75, 3 driveways past 1883. It will be located on the right side if
coming from I-71, just after you cross the bridge. Shuttle service will be
available for pedestrians back to the Pace event home base.
