It is my pleasure to announce a trail ride trip May 18-20th, 2012 at Blackberry Farm, Tennessee.   This is the perfect getaway for both equestrian, and non-equestrian spouses and friends alike.  With two guided trail rides and lots of other activities available, this is an event you, your horse, and your taste buds won’t want to miss!  Read further for more info and call Lisa at (865) 380-2098 to reserve your rooms while they last.

Blackberry Farm offers an extraordinary location and setting just minutes from the McGhee Tyson Airport. The group will enjoy fabulous cuisine, world-class service, luxurious accommodations, and a wonderful choice of activities on a 4,200 acre estate bordering the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains.

 The classic Blackberry Farm experience, this rate option includes your guestroom (single or double occupancy), meals beginning with dinner on the day of arrival and continuing through lunch or brunch (Sunday only) on the day of departure, property wide high speed Wi-Fi access, pantry snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea stations, DVD and CD library, games and puzzles, access to hiking trails, seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts and rackets, lawn games and leisure bikes, valet parking for all vehicles and nightly turndown service.

Our culinary team prepares beautiful served multicourse menus, inspired by seasonal farm-fresh products and produce grown just a few feet away in our gardens. Our unrivaled wine cellar consists of 180,000 bottles of some of the world’s most unique and exclusive collections. Blackberry Farm is more than committed to creating the ultimate epicurean experience.

Meals are included in the nightly Full American Plan guestroom rates beginning with dinner on the arrival night and concluding with lunch or brunch (Sunday only) on the day of departure. All wine and spirits are available will be charged based on consumption.

 Groups with 15 or more guests require a preset dinner menu. Our team will work with you to develop personalized menus and thoughtful wine selections for each event.

 Regardless of the season, Blackberry Farm offers countless activities and adventures. Pamper your mind and body at our Farmhouse Spa. Enjoy Orvis-endorsed fly fishing while surrounded by the pristine tranquility of Hesse Creek. Find yourself on a relaxing nature hike. Freewheel down mountain byways and down country roads on a custom co-motion bike. Be as active as your heart desires. Preferred pricing has been created especially for groups and vary depending on the type of activity and number of participants. Please contact your Group Sales Manager prior to arrival to arrange your activities.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

 FLY FISHING Blackberry Farm is an Orvis-endorsed lodge and offers a variety of freshwater fly fishing. There are two ponds and a stream on the property, more than 700 miles of fishable trout streams in the neighboring Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and scenic stretches of the local tail-waters. Our Orvis-endorsed guides and instructors can quickly introduce beginners to the basics of fly fishing equipment and techniques or help the seasoned angler use more advanced tactics for a perfect day on the water

 $100 per person for a 4 hour experience

CANOE AND KAYAK TRIPS Paddle through rarely visited areas while venturing out onto one of five nearby lakes that form the border between the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Cherokee National Forest.

 SPORTING CLAYS COURSE A timeless sport with its roots coming from England, sporting clays is a classic shotgun shooting game perfected over the years into the ultimate test of skill! A short drive from Blackberry Farm, the course is designed to serve as training ground for the novice as well as challenge the most experienced shot. The Sports Club is comprised of a skeet field, flurry field and four parcour stations.

GUIDED HIKE Our experienced guides offer special hikes for all skill levels. Your group can choose to hike one of Blackberry Farm’s scenic and well-maintained trails or venture off property and explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

SCAVENGER HUNT Our experienced guides offer special hikes for all skill levels. Your group can choose to hike one of Blackberry Farm’s scenic and well-maintained trails or venture off property and explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

GREAT RACE Teams compete in the following adventure series events: Canoe relay on Walland Pond, archery contest, 6 mile hike to Blair Cabin, survival test (building a camp fire, pitching a tent, etc.), 6 mile hike back to Blackberry Farm.

 COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS Join one of our chefs as they walk you through the preparation of a menu from Blackberry Farm! From the garden to the demonstration kitchen, our chef will share with you the ins and outs of our culinary experience. (Groups of 10+)

WINE TASTING The goal of Blackberry Farm's Wine Program is simply to offer the most exciting wine experience to each of our guests, from beginners to the most dedicated wine connoisseurs. We are confident that guests with the most experienced wine palates will be overjoyed with the opportunity to experience the wine they have always heard about but never seen, or maybe just revisit an old favorite.

Set Up Fee - $150 (11-24 people) or $300 (25-50 people)

GARDEN AND SEED TALK Take an extensive tour of our different gardens with our Master Gardener as he shares with you the stories behind each plant and his collection of preserved heirloom seeds.

YALLARHAMMER PRIVATE BONFIRE After dinner, your guests can enjoy a private bonfire complete with s’mores, hot cocoa and entertainment. We will be happy to arrange for a cordials bar and recommend storytellers and musicians to help bring a close to the perfect day.
