Welcome from The Camargo Hunt

The Camargo Hunt, established in 1925, is one of the oldest hunts in North America. Our members cover all age groups and all walks of life. They share a love of the outdoors, of horses, and of the sport of foxhunting and pursue the thrill of the chase along with great social and equestrian activities. We ride in the picturesque areas of southwestern Ohio and northern to central Kentucky. The country varies from trails in wooded areas to open fields.

As is the tradition in North America, The Camargo Hunt practices and supports an emphasis on fox chasing, not fox catching. It is our goal and practice to enjoy the thrill of a good run and yet have the quarry there to pursue on another day.

In addition to foxhunting, The Camargo Hunt organizes a number of Special Events in various forms to support equestrian activities. Please click on the Special Events link to learn more about these events.

We welcome guests and encourage those who are capable riders and interested in learning more about foxhunting in our area to contact us. Horses that can be leased for a day of hunting are often available. Please for instructions on how to learn more about hunting with us.
